ACT INFORMATION & COLLEGE LINKS:
The ACT may be taken multiple times beginning a student's sophomore year. Knowing the ACT scores required for your choice college is important. Academic scholarships vary (tuition, books, housing, other expenses) dependent on ACT scores. Just 2 points may cost a student $30,000. Practice tests are available on line, the public library, study booklets, and during training classes offered throughout the county.
Not all colleges are the same. Make sure you know what coursework and ACT score the college you have chosen requires. You may have to change choices if you fail to investigate or meet the requirements. Students may be able to get accepted on a conditional basis and will be given time to prove they can excel academically, but this is not guaranteed.
Make sure you know your college's ACT school code. This will be different than the FAFSA school code.
